Description:
Our first week starts with lessons in basic stage direction and focus-building theatre games to inspire creativity and imagination. We explore sensory exercises and learn how to warm-up our bodies and voices. At the end of the day each student receives sheet music, lyrics and a short scene that we will all learn together. Week two begins with our new warm-up followed by reading through the scene, learning the song with our musical director and assigning solos and duets. We will spend the rest of this class and the entire next class staging the scene and choreographing the song. On our fourth class, we return to our theatre games before having a final dress rehearsal for our presentation. Our fifth and final class we invite friends and family to be our audience as we proudly present our scene and song. This class is perfect for the expressive and imaginative child a well as children who need a little help in coming out of their shell.
